Nisan 6, 5785; from sunset April 3, 2025, to sunset April 4, 2025
(The sixth day of the first month)

This is the name “Yeshua” (יֵשׁוּעַ – Jesus) as seen on the James Ossuary. Yeshua comes from the verb “yasha” meaning “to save or deliver.” Yeshua means “Salvation.”

As observant Jews, Jesus’ family would have made the trek to Jerusalem each year for the three pilgrimage festivals…Passover (Pesach), Pentecost (Shavu’ot), and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot). They may have left Nazareth sometime around today. The pilgrims likely travelled as a group in a caravan of friends and relatives, linking up with thousands of others heading toward the holy city. The journey would have taken between 3 and 5 days to complete.
His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. – Luke 2:41-42 (NKJ)
Over the next few days and weeks, we hope you’ll continue to join us as we remember the generations of God’s people who have kept the Feast of Passover.
